Freedom Adventure Purpose

Hey!

First of all, Happy 73rd Independence Day!

Today, I’m not here to convey something to you, rather I’m here to understand you better, by making you read this. Sounds absurd? Wondering how can one person understand what another person is thinking without even watching their reaction while they’re reading a blog? Read on and you’ll know how.

Mind Reading

As the title suggests, YOU, just like anyone of the 7 billion people living on planet earth has the same exact sense of understanding of what they want, in fact they all want the same thing, but it still isn’t the same.

You had the opportunity to choose to read this blog, that’s the freedom of choice you have and the freedom speech that I have. When you read and share such motivational and self-help information it tells me what kind of a person you are. You are a good person, with a good heart who wants to perceive positively and keep moving forward. If I asked, what freedom means to you personally? I’m gonna have the same answer, because we all want to be ourselves.

You want to use this “Freedom” for the most of its possibilities. You want do things that you expect the people tagged “normal” wouldn’t do. This sense of individuality is what provides you with the choice of doing something adventurous, something extraordinary, something mind bogglingly disruptive that makes people around you go, “Damn son! How’d you do that?” Or “What inspired you?” Not to impress but to truly express, that you’re a misfit, that you won’t give up and you mean it when you say you want to do something.

Let us go through a short story, an adventurous story of the tour to the south of the world. This was during the early 1900’s, a team of experts, professionals and researchers was setting out to their third Antarctic Expedition lead by Ernest Shackleton. The expedition needed more men, because it obviously wasn’t going to be easy, right? So they out out a newspaper advertising that read…

Ernest Shackleton Men Wanted Newspaper Ad

“MEN WANTED

for hazardous journey,
small wages,
bitter cold,
long months of complete darkness,
constant danger,
safe return doubtful,
honor and recognition in case of success.

Ernest Shackleton, 4 Burlington st.

Would you apply for this ad? That’s a question of the past, because over 5000 applications were received and they had to shortlist people down to less than a hundred. What were those men? desperate for money? In dire need of a therapy? Just plain crazy?

These men were normal, just like me and you, and just like me and you, they wanted to have a degree of purpose to their life. Not money, not fame, but to feel like they’ve done something that’s worth remembering and leave their mark on the world, as generations pass by, so would their legacy.

Avengers Initiative Nick Fury

Now think of this, as a start-up or any company/organisation that has just started out, as an idea. Like Nick Fury did, with the “avengers initiative”. It takes time and effort to build and carry a legacy. Iron Man needed 10 years in real time (15 years on screen) to grow as a character and build all the qualities he ended up with.

So, to sum it up, all that starts with these three things as it’s base in the following order:

Freedom: To choose and do what you really want to.
Adventure: To have a unique and individual process that means the world to you.
Purpose: To feel belonged, to work towards a memorable goal and to end as a legacy.

Glad to know you read the whole blog, I really appreciate the few minutes you spent.

Once again, Happy 73rd Independence Day!
